About me
I’m a tertiary educator and researcher with 26 years of experience, currently teaching Japanese language and history at Massey University in Aotearoa New Zealand. My work centres on information literacy, with a recent focus on process-oriented learning in the age of AI. My research centres particularly on how students find, evaluate, interpret and use information critically, creatively and ethically.Talk to me about designing learning and assessment that values the process, not just the final product, and makes students’ thinking, decision-making and use of AI visible. I’m also interested in authentic learning, responsible AI use, learner–teacher partnerships, and supporting students as they transition into tertiary study and the workplace.
