This qualitative study explores how pre-service EFL teachers in Indonesia perceived Flipped Classroom (FC) pedagogy in developing their writing performance and engagement, and what challenges they encountered during its implementation. Findings from semi-structured interviews reveal four themes and highlight FC’s potential as a human-centered instructional approach in the age of Generative AI.
