This study reexamined whether the audience of written languaging affects L2 learning. Replicating earlier findings favoring other-addressed WL, we tested a different grammatical target (the English passive) and incorporated two WL opportunities. No audience differences emerged, indicating possible boundary conditions for the audience effect.
